Eco Building Pulse features AIA COTE Top Ten Green 2013

Co-Director Gail Vittori is featured in Eco Building Pulse in an article titled "Projects You Should Know: The AIA Top Ten Green Awards 2013." The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top Ten Green awards recognize exceptional structures that protect and enhance the enivornment. Co-Director Vittori served as one of six jury members for the award.

The article quotes Vittori on the topic of resilience, which was a prominent theme amongst the 2013 entries: “The topic of resilience has not really bubbled up to be a driver of performance,” Vittori said. “Even though in 2013, it’s a very buzzy concept, what we’re seeing now is a group of projects that were conceived and delivered prior to that. In a lot of ways, resilience, in addition to health, will emerge over time. So, understanding how those elements are represented and how to appropriately incentivize them and have a basis for understanding and measuring them is going to be important going forward.”

Center for a Maximum Potential Building Systems Board of Directors member Lance Hosey was also a 2013 jury member.
